5 Great Heat Protection Sprays

Kérastase Ciment Thermique- This heat protection is in the form of a cream rather than a spray. It is especially for hair that is weak and damaged helping to add strength to the hair as well as protecting it from any heat damage. Only to be used once every 5 times the hair is washed as the product remains in the hair and continues to protect from heat appliances such as hair dryers and styling irons.

Kérastase Nectar Thermique- For dry to very dry hair this heat protection gives nourishing care to the hair while protecting from heat damage also. Helps to moisturise the hair leaving it feeling very soft and silky.  Needs to be applied to wet hair every time it has been washed so you get full protection, only a small hazelnut size is required.

    Kérastase Chroma Thermique- Especially for colour treated hair; helps add shine to the hair while protecting your coloured hair form styling irons and hair dryers. To be used on towel dried hair every time.  You only need a small hazelnut size of this heat protection cream as it goes a long way.

GHD Thermal Protection- There is a spray suitable for everyone’s hair type.  Available for dry and course hair; to control unruly hair and add sustained moisture. Normal to fine hair; provides an invisible hold factor when styling fine hair.  Each spray can be used on wet or dry hair to guard the hair from any heat damage.

Paul Mitchell Heat Seal- This heat protection spray can be used on any hair type. Only a small amount is needed, to be used in clean damp hair every time the hair is washed. Heat Seal helps to resist humidity, increases body and enhances shine. It is available in two different sizes 250ml or 500ml.

 Step 1: Using the GHD Thermal Protector to protect your hair from any heat damage, spray this into towel dried hair. Then to add some volume use a golf ball size amount of the GHD Maximise Mousse applying this from root to tip.

Step 2: Spray GHD Sea Spray throughout all of your hair, then dry the product into your hair this will then to help create more texture.

Step 3: You need to section the hair into 4 sections.  Part the hair down the centre from the front hairline down to the nape of the neck, then from the top of the head down to the top of each ear. Clip all 4 sections up. Start on the back left section, take all of the hair and twist it round with the GHD IV Salon Styler go over the twisted hair, then clip this back up to set.  Do the same for all 3 sections.

Step 4:  Take the sections of the hair down and back comb the root area of the crown, using GHD Precision wax work the wax into the mid-length to the ends of your hair if you scrunch the wax into the hair this will help create more texture.
